Nobile Shinn Twin 09 For many, the freedom to ride in which ever style the conditions best suit is still the goal! The Nobile 2009 Shinn Twin Tip is the board built to appeal to riders who are led by feelings rather than fashion. Even the word “free-ride” struggles to define it’s purpose. In an effort to increase the versatility of the range even more Nobile have used a 3 step design that increases the flex over the whole nose and tail areas of the board. The effect of this is to provide faster and smoother turns whilst maintaining a super smooth feeling in the water no matter how difficult the conditions.This board hasnt been ridden much since I bought it since unfortunately I wasn’t able to get many kiting sessions in this past year. I’ve decided to only ride directionals though so am selling this board rather then have it take up space in my apt. As a bonus I’m including the liquid force luxury footstraps and pads that I have installed on this board. They are much better then the standard nobile footstraps and pads. It’s not overly flamboyant but oozes quality with slick matt black looks and leathery texture. There’s no plasticky feel about this board, there’s a bit of prestige with it and it’s very alluring and will wink at you suggestively every time you have to walk past it in your garage. The outline looks good, sitting comfortably between a freeride and freestyle oriented shape. The pads and straps haven’t changed, but are still comfortable, giving a good, solid, robust feeling. Riding the board it was fast and has really good bite when edging. Good flex, it’s not super-stiff, but not sloppy either, only adding to the feeling of speed. Load it and pop and its responds well, feeling very well balanced in the air. Switching from heel to toe-side is easy and smooth.
