Kitesurfing Thailand - 2006 Airush Kites / Boards and Accessories
| Airush Kites 2006 |
 |
We have approached the 2006 range on two levels, we micro-engineered the product by paying close attention to the smallest of details. On the nect level we micro-engineered the line, by developing and enhacing every aspect of performance as much as possible. And of course, the ultimate mission is to bring something new and different that riders haven't considered. We have focused on this without becoming gimmick-driven or losing the core of functionality and performance.
We have targeted safety with the all new Trigger Release system, secured new board technolgies including the introduction of corecell to kiteboard mass production. Our board range includes innovations like park riders the T3 and the Airforce line for the next "kiteration".
Driven by refinements, reinforcements and the idea of making the most performance oriented yet practical kite, the 06 range is another sample of our core slogan, Technical advantage.

Airforce-
Developed specifically by the Airush youth brigade and 12-Year-old KPWT world Champion Gisela, the Airforce defines performance for younger riders through the use of a unique combination of size, rocker, and flex characteristics. All aspects such as footstrap spacing, strap positioning, and fins have been optimized.
Gisela explains some secrets of the shape:
"The plan shape is perfect for aerial tricks and surface passes. The fins remain quite small so that the board can pivot easily. The footstraps are centered and symmetrical so I can put the board on easily and are in a very useful position for 'no-foot' tricks."

T3-
The T3 was developed for the aggressive freestyle rider with a passion for rails, sliders, and kickers -- or whatever pops up! The unique, aggressive, channel-bottom design allows for the use of fins 50% smaller than traditional kiteboard fins without loosing any edging ability. The reduced fin size improves the T-3's versatility when riding in a park style, while the progressive channel design also allows the board to be ridden easily in a finless configuration.

Features:
- Footstraps are standard with option for bindings.
- Square ABS rails for increased durability and early planing.
- 3 stage "competition" rocker for speed and early planing. The channeled center features a slightly increased rocker to prevent the nose from catching. The outer rails have a slightly flatter rocker for increased edging.
- A new approach in flex, derived from wakeboarding, orients the flex point on the center of the board. This orients the T-3 towards more powered moves.
- The unique, integrated fin bottom shape delivers the same edging feel as a board with fins twice the size.
- The wide outline with larger tips ensures early planing and maximum pop. The relatively short length reduces swing weight.
- Dedicated T-3 fins are integrated into the channels of the board. The fin outline is developed to flow easily over obstacles. Dual screw inserts to keep fins firmly in place.

Hammer - The Airush Hammer was developed from a traditional twintip concept where the design team worked to enhance the wave riding capabilities radically -- without loosing the ease of use of a Twintip design. Although originally conceived to be a dedicated wave riding twintip, the Hammer also proved to be a huge stand out in very choppy conditions.

Features:
- Tucked Surf Rails through the center of the board allow a positive driving bottom turn. A hard edge through the last ¼ of the board maintains speed and bite when coming off the top.
- Three stage "Wave" rocker with slightly increased rocker in the tip area for clearance and increased turning.
- A significantly narrower tail with more curve in the rear section of the outline is combined with reduced thickness and increased flex in this section. The result is maximum snap when coming off the top.
- Double V Concave into Spiral V - This bottom shape was developed with two outcomes in mind: First, enhance the directional stability of the board without the need for massive fins. And second, give a positive drive when rolling the board over from the heel edge to the toe edge when initiating a turn.
- Compared to a medium size freestyle board, the Hammer has increased water line length and a slightly narrower width to enhance stability on the wave.
- The new Code fin provides maximum grip for waveriding and design to limit the front catching.
