Phuket, the island, the biggest in Thailand, offers us some amazing sites and steady winds. If you like warm water, waves, white sand, riding your 12m2 or 14m2, spicy food and vibrant night life... You will love Phuket!!!
Situated 800 km from Bangkok and about the size of Singapore (50 x 25 kms) Phuket is blessed with magnificent coves, wide bays, and glorious palmed-fringed beaches. From a plane it looks like an emerald place in a turquoise sea! About 70% of Phuket is mountainous. A western range runs from north to south from which smaller branches derive. The highest peak is Mai Tha Sip Song, or Twelve Canes, at 529 meters. |

The spot:
We have in Phuket 2 locations to answer differents wind direction .
We are located November to March in the South-East part of the island at Chalong Bay. Our spot is like a huge pool to learn Kiteboarding with shallow and flat water. Kites can be set up on beach or on grass. Side to Side/on wind. Spot non-teachable at low tide. Chalong Bay is 20min drive from Patong, main tourist area. We are located at 15/39 Moo2 Rawai Muang, Phuket, 83130.
Follow the main street 2024, from Chalong, roundabout, exact 3 km. to Rawai, our shop is on the left located.
We are located for the period May to september in the North-West part at Nai-Yang beach, closest beach from Phuket International Airport in the Nai Yang beach resort: We're teaching there from different location depends on the level of the student. So we can teach in shallow and flat water or improving your wave style. Wind Side to Side/on. White sandy beach with lot of shade provided by Tamarin trees. At times there can be build up of natural debris on the beach, generally after a tropical rain. Some areas also have build up of coral, so booties are recommended for the intermediate kiter.. Please be aware of the Airport restriction zone. This zone runs from the northern edge of the Airport reef (north end of Nai Yang beach) at the national park and covers an area of approx 5km north (along Mai Kao Beach) and 5km out to sea. Kiteboarding is in this area is Strictly forbidden!
Please contact us to be advised on different spots all around Phuket island.

Kite guidelines:
KBA has built up a solid reputation for safety. Your compliance with the following will help keep beach safe and open for kiteboarding. The following kitelines are enforced by KBA around the School Area**.
- Kiters must give right of way to ALL beach users.
- Kiteboarding is forbidden in the Airport main area North of Nai Yang beach.
- Do not accept help from non kiteboarders.
- Please accept that this is a relatively new sport and most people have no idea of the dangers of kiteboarding. Assume everyone on the beach is ignorant, and accept that people will get in your way. It is up to you to educate them in a calm and friendly manner.
- Kiteboarders must kite away from KBA students
